The Affairs of Dobie Gillis (1953)
Grainbelt University captivates Dobie Gillis primarily due to its array of women, particularly the charming Pansy Hammer. However, Pansy's father disapproves of Dobie's affections, especially after a groundbreaking English essay and a mishap in the chemistry lab reinforce his negative opinion. Heartbroken, Pansy is sent to an Eastern school. Undeterred, Dobie rallies support from Happy Stella Kolawski and her all-girl band, along with hundreds of fellow students and an irate police force, to bring Pansy back to Grainbelt, proving his determination to win her heart.
