Maya Carey

Maya Carey honed her craft at Adelaide College of the Arts, graduating in 2022. During her training, she took on a diverse array of challenging roles, including Lala in *Clark in Sarajevo* (directed by Yasmin Gurreeboo), Hermione and the Shepherd in *The Winter's Tale* (Jen Innes), Sally in *Last Days* (Paulo Castro), Bernadette in *Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons* (Clara Solly-Slade), and Janet in *OfficeLife360* (Jo Stone).

Beyond performance, Maya has a strong commitment to developing new theatrical works. In 2019, she collaborated with playwright Finnegan Krukemeyer to help create his award-winning play *A Hymn to the Hateful*, in which she also performed. Looking ahead, Maya is set to appear in two upcoming Adelaide short films: *The Family Friend*, directed by Tomiya Hills, and *The Last Voice*, directed by Manson Renfrey.
