Kylie Furneaux
Kylie Furneaux, often known as Ky, spent her formative years exploring the vast landscapes of rural South Australia, where she embraced the joys of nature and adventure, often riding her horse through the bush. However, at the age of 19, her life took a dramatic turn when a car accident left her with a fractured vertebra, leading doctors to predict that she would never engage in physical activities again. Undeterred by this prognosis, Ky harnessed her passion for the outdoors and chose rock climbing as a means to rehabilitate herself.
During one of her climbing excursions, a fellow participant recognized her physical talent and suggested she explore a career in stunts. Seizing this new opportunity, Ky relocated to Canada, where she dedicated the next three years to rigorous training in martial arts and weaponry. Her hard work soon paid off when she secured her first major role as a stunt double for Sharon Stone in the film *Catwoman*. This was quickly followed by another significant assignment doubling for Jennifer Garner in *Elektra*, marking the beginning of her successful stunt career.
Kylie’s impressive filmography includes blockbuster titles like *The Avengers*, *Thor*, *Pirates of the Caribbean*, and *X-Men*, where she has worked alongside stars such as Anne Hathaway, Ellen DeGeneres, and Jessica Biel. In 2012, her dedication to her craft was recognized when she received the World Taurus Stunt Award for Best Female Stunt Performer, cementing her status as a leading figure in the stunt industry.
