Jef Hellemans
Jef Hellemans, born in 1999, is a talented actor who earned his degree in Drama from the School of Arts / KASK Gent, graduating in 2022. His stage career began to flourish with his participation in "Odysseus, een zwerver komt thuis," a collaborative production by KVS and NTGent, skillfully directed by Michael De Cock, where he was highlighted as one of the 24 male actors. Hellemans showcased his versatility further by performing in "Le Nozze" alongside DESCHONECOMPANIE and in "Familie grr" with De Nwe Tijd & Het Paleis.
At the Theater Aan Zee festival in 2022, he presented his graduation project, "Pinokkio," which he co-created with fellow artist Jonas Baeke.
In the realm of television, Hellemans gained significant recognition for his role in the 2018 drama series "Over Water," crafted by Tom Lenaerts and Norman Bates. He continued to expand his screen presence in 2021 with a role in the English series "The Window."
Looking ahead to 2023, Hellemans is set to appear in "Knokke-Off," a Netflix and VRT collaboration, and will take on a leading role in "Kartonnen Dozen," an adaptation of Tom Lanoye's acclaimed work.
