Dr. Angie Phipps

Dr. Angela Phipps, D.O., is a distinguished hair restoration surgeon based in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has gained recognition for her expertise in addressing various hair loss conditions, a passion she showcases on the TLC series Bad Hair Day, where she transforms her patients’ lives through innovative treatments.

Dr. Phipps embarked on her medical journey by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, in 1994. She later achieved her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. Her extensive training includes an internship and residency in ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, completed in 2002. She further honed her skills during a Family Medicine residency at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, Florida, which she finished in 2004. To specialize in hair restoration, she completed a fellowship at Ziering Medical in Beverly Hills, California, in 2005.

In 2009, Dr. Phipps brought her expertise to Bosley in Raleigh after three successful years practicing hair restoration in both Beverly Hills and Las Vegas. Her dedication to her craft and her patients has established her as a leading figure in the field, making significant contributions to hair restoration techniques and patient care.
