Raghava Lawrence

Raghava Lawrence is a multifaceted Indian film personality known for his dynamic work as a choreographer, actor, director, composer, and playback singer. He stepped into the world of choreography in 1993, quickly making a name for himself with his innovative fusion of hip-hop and Western dance styles. His talent behind the scenes soon paved the way for his on-screen debut in a Telugu film in 1998, at the age of 22. By 2001, he adopted the surname "Lawrence," a name that would become synonymous with energetic and intricate dance sequences in Tamil cinema.

Lawrence’s career reached new heights with his breakthrough performances in the Telugu film *Style* and the supernatural thriller *Muni*. His exceptional choreography earned him widespread acclaim, including four Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards. Beyond his artistic achievements, Lawrence is known for his deep personal faith. As a child, he battled a brain tumor, which kept him out of school. His recovery, which he attributes to the blessings of Raghavendra Swami, led him to become a devoted follower and incorporate the deity's name into his own. In 2015, following the passing of former President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Lawrence established a charity trust in his honor, contributing ₹1 crore to support its initiatives.
