Born in 1981 in Quebec, Félix Dufour-Laperrière works across directing, screenwriting, and producing. His films inhabit a space where narrative drive meets formal experimentation, reflecting a deep engagement with visual and contemporary art. The documentary *Transatlantique* premiered at IFFR Rotterdam in 2014 and traveled widely to festivals, museums, and major cultural venues, earning multiple awards.

His first animated feature, *Ville Neuve* (2018), was entirely hand-drawn and painted on paper, marking a painstaking artistic achievement. It debuted at the Venice Days section of the Mostra and later reached theaters in Quebec, France, and Japan. In 2021, his animated documentary essay *Archipelago* premiered in competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
