Born Dennis Posa in Manhattan in 1946, this multifaceted performer grew up in Freeport, New York. Initially trained in Furniture Design, he soon shifted his focus to acting, studying his craft in New York City. His screen debut came in 1975 with the gay adult film *Boy-Napped*, after which he adopted the pseudonym Wade Nichols for a series of straight pornographic roles.

Under the stage name Dennis Parker, he ventured into music, releasing the disco album *Like an Eagle* in early 1979. The record became a sensation in gay dance clubs and even charted internationally in several countries. Simultaneously, Nichols found mainstream television success, portraying police chief Derek Mallory on the soap opera *Edge of the Night*.

However, his promising career was cut short by health struggles. He retired from acting in 1984 and passed away in January 1985 from an AIDS-related illness. Despite his relatively brief time in the spotlight, Nichols left a lasting mark across adult film, disco music, and daytime television, remembered for his versatility and the cultural impact of his work during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
