Barış Atay

Born in Germany on September 22, 1981, Barış Atay moved to Türkiye as an infant and grew up in Antakya, where he lived until 1999. At 18, he relocated to Adana to pursue a degree in Biology at Çukurova University. However, in his final year, he decided to follow a different path and moved to Istanbul. There, he successfully passed the entrance exams for Yeditepe University’s Theatre Department, graduating in 2004. He later earned a master’s degree in Cinema-TV from Kadir Has University in 2011.

Atay made his feature film debut with *Eksik*, followed by his second film, *Aden*. He remains active in both theatre and cinema, continuing to develop his craft as an actor and filmmaker. Known for his thoughtful performances and dedication to the arts, Barış Atay has built a career that bridges stage and screen, earning recognition for his contributions to contemporary Turkish film and theatre.
